Her fate is shown through a lense of Lebanese events, her experiences, internal tragedy, rejection of her religion, loss of loved ones, deception, betrayal and recovery, hope and homing.

The plot unwraps in Lebanon. After the war a young Lebanese girl lda escapes from her small village and alcoholic mother to a big city. There she starts dating a European man not knowing what is in store for her. The story is told through the prism of the culture and traditions of a Middle Eastern country. The film touches upon an important issue of East vs. West through the relationship between an Eastern girl and a Western man.
