The Amerikans is a series of short films featuring 3 - 5 minute portraits of people from Ohio. The short episodes go behind the ordinary exterior of the subjects' lives to explore the myths that real Americans live by. By using traditional narration, documentary-style interviews, and fiction filmmaking techniques, the subject's dreams and fantasies come to life.—Mika Johnson
