A hosted children's show with Dick Beach as "Salty, The Clown" and Jerry Carr as "Captain Cotton" screen on WSPD-TV, Channel 13 Toledo, Ohio between 1960-1967.

Captain Cotton was a craggy old ship commander with Salty, the Clown who had with a tiny whistle sitting on his tongue that gave his voice in a wildly high pitch. During their 60 minute show, the adventure took place aboard their ship, the Toledo Queen. The hosts performed live skits that introduced cartoons, including Popeye. Salty would always get into trouble, with Captain Cotton's job to help him.—Paul Gerard Kennedy
