A retired couple spends its vacation at the spa town of Kaiafa Lake during the last twenty years. This year their daughter does not come with them, being on her honeymoon trip to Rhodes, thus giving them the chance to spend their own "second honeymoon". Each one of their -also retired- friends at the spa, sees life with a different eye. Some believe that the future does not reserve anything important for them and others seek love and try to live every moment.

Being in the twilight of their lives, world-weary pensioner Leon and his supportive wife Zacharoula have learned how to lower their expectations. Having spent two long decades visiting the same quiet resort for their summer vacations, this year, too, the grizzled couple knows that an uninteresting routine awaits them--after all, the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. However, more and more, against the backdrop of sun-soaked ennui, life's ultimate certainty, and a heinous crime, Leon finds himself confronted with the unknown, sensing that the end is near.
