The Lionians are a tribe dying of a mysterious disease. Their Chief decides to kidnap Jane and Lola, a half-breed nurse, in order to help repopulate his civilization. As Jane and the local tribeswomen are abducted one by one by the wild men of the lost tribe of the Lionians, Tarzan comes to the rescue, only to discover that the tribespeople are infected with a terrible disease. With the aid of Dr Campbell, Tarzan will attempt to persuade the Lionian prince to accept his potent medicament; however, Jane and the doctor's assistant, Lola, face certain death in the heart of an unusual and impenetrable prison.
