Sixteen years after a zombie outbreak began in western Mexico and spread worldwide, zombies have become a mundane part of daily life due to their weak and slow nature. In Japan’s Tamagawa ward, a special welfare division manages infected or zombified residents. Akaba Shinsuke, an unmotivated and lonely 25-year-old, works there. His dull routine is disrupted when Tachibana Rin, a striking and skilled rookie, joins the team.
