A dying man asks his daughter and her friend to drive him to Switzerland and adventures ensue. Their journeys take them across Germany, Italy and a Greek island.

Martha (Alexandra Maria Lara) and Betty (Birgit Minichmayr) have always shared all the problems they've had with their fathers. While Martha experiences the desire to die felt by her father Kurt (Josef Bierbichler), Betty misses her long-deceased stepfather Ernesto. What begins as an excursion to Switzerland becomes a road trip through half of Europe.
