Anna is a modern young woman. She is not enthusiastic about the family history, which her elderly father is trying to captivate. Putting in order the archive of her mother, Soviet intelligence officer Nina Orlova, Anna's father learns a secret. But for the time being, he tells his daughter a little and in the most general terms: their family has an enemy, and they need to be afraid of this person. The father meets with a certain writer who sells him a folder with information about Orlova's last assignment. On the same day, the father is killed and the folder is stolen.
