It's a Swedish concept, not American. The British version of the popular Swedish "reality TV" show. A group of ordinary people from a variety of backgrounds are placed on a deserted island where they must use wits, strength and teamwork to keep from starving, freezing, drowning or a variety of other nasty possible fates.
