Zhang Shumei is a nurse who is accused and dismissed for accidentally killing her patient. Then, her daughter gets kidnapped, and, as she can't find justice for her or her child, she decides to end her life. 30 years later her son returns as an international top surgeon to the hospital she used to work, and is determined to find justice for his mother.
