The Virgin Mary appears to Mario, a provincial hairdresser who dreams of becoming a successful singer. He presents her to her parents who decide to adopt her.

Mario, a provincial barber-boy, wants to become a successful singer. The Virgin Mary appears to him near a clearing. The Immaculate Conception was immediately accepted and moved into their HLM pavilion. The presence of The Virgin at home breaks the family monotony of a well-regulated life. Teresa, Mario's mother-in-law, will start talking to a chandelier in order to reconnect with a youthful lover. Carolina, Mario's little sister, will feel invulnerable and beat her teacher. Maurice, Mario's father, will believe that his son is no longer homosexual, that he is going to marry and start a family. Mario, meanwhile, will feel invested with a sacred mission, that of saying "Truth" to all those around him. The Virgin is mean. She inflicts terrible punishment on all family members who follow her, yet blindly to the flaming doors of torment and alienation. But this young woman, fierce and impenetrable - Is she really The Virgin? And Mario? Does he not seek in the Immaculate Conception, the love of his mother, who died when he was a child? A cruel fable where it is about hallucinated rites, gripping nightmares and fatal predictions, Superlove takes us into the realm of the unconscious.
