This film is based on the life of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose from a child to a great patriotic leader.
Child Subhash (Master Ashish Ghosh) is an intelligent guy who loves his motherland. He gets admitted to school, where he came second. All his teachers and his headmaster appreciate the little guy's intelligence and his bravery. Subhash grows up into a young boy (Amar Dutta) inspired by the beaching of Swami Vivekanda into a great patriotic leader. He lived the life of an ascetic and ventured into the Himalaya and gained knowledge about the caste discrimination in India. His soul get greatly injured by the poor state of his motherland. He condones the British teachings and finally he gets suspended from the college. He along with the freedom fighters forms an association creating slogans against the British. Finally he meets Ashutosh Mukhopadhay who arranged for his readmission into the college. Subhash passed the ICS exams but refused to get a job. His heart now filled with patriotism and he wanted to free his motherland from the chain of the British Empire. He and all his followers revolted against the British empire and demanded freedom. He was an ascetic in the form of a soldier. He won applauds and reputation all over India and he was made the principal of Kolkata National Vidyapith. His revolt infuriated the British and they arrested all his followers and finally they arrested Subhash Chandra Bose and he won the beginning of a great struggle.—Swarup Basak
Subhash Chandra Bose was born in an advocate family in Cuttack and received the best education in his childhood. He was deeply inspired by the headmaster in his school who introduced him to the lives and works of Swami Vivekananda and Rabindranath Tagore. The incident of Khudiram's hanging to death brought deep rich emotions within him and he decided to know his own country. He went to Presidency College, wherein, in-spite of being an extraordinary student, he was expelled for assaulting Professor Oaten for speaking ill about India and Indians. He then joined Scottish Church college where he passed with flying co lours. After a brief stint abroad, Bose returned India and initiated his mission of releasing India from the reigns of the British. He became the president for the Congress party and started motivating youngsters to start loving their country with their lives. The World War 2 brought about an opportunity for him to strike at the British. Therefore he sought assistance from the Japanese and formed the Azad Hind Fauj. Even today, the mystery of his death is yet to be unfolded.
