Silesia 1844. After the death of her husband during a demonstration, the young Mila goes to the United States of America, alone, for the land of hope they had dreamed about. Upon arrival, the cynical count Arnim Von Hobenberg, leader of the expedition to Texas, confiscated her land, saying that only men can own one. To survive, Mila is at the service of the countesz Cecile, with whom she ran away after wounding the count who wanted to rape her.
