Summaries

A theater actor looks back on his life. Present and past tumbling over each other, real life will have the dimensions of a play and the other men of flesh and blood are reduced to characters.

Actor Lucas Bron performs the play King Lear by William Shakespeare for the pupils of his son Patja. After the performance Patja, now home, is warned that his father's house is on fire. He rushes to the scene of the disaster. The fire brigade is already on site and can not say whether his father is still in the house. Patja runs into the burning house in desperation and finds his father unconscious on the kitchen floor. However, Lucas' spirit is in the theater. In a magical flash of thought, just before death, Lucas, assisted by his son, directs and plays highlights and lows from his eventful life in the theater, but also beyond. Theater and reality are mixed up. Slowly it becomes clear that Lucas has something to tell his son.
