Star And Cyprus is an experimental feature-film created using the traditional, early 20th century technique of hand-drawn, silhouette animation. With a minuscule budget and a crew of only a few people, the film revives an animation technique lost for almost 60 years. The process of hand drawing scenery and then photographing cardboard silhouette's to express character movement was popular in the 1920's- traditionally in children's films. 'Star And Cyprus' utilises this process to depict a surreal, sinister, drug-fueled last night in a forgotten city.—Anonymous
