Stamped! is a hilarious and dramatic story set in modern-day high school. As students make-up a Saturday state mandated test, teenage misfit Mitchell psychoanalyzes and takes apart Tori, a haughty socialite, Cody, a blockhead jock, DeShawn, a smart homeboy, and Vanessa, a quiet Latina. After torturing them about their roles in life, Mitchell introduces them to his world. They escape from the testing library, find out each other's deep dark secrets, and play practical jokes on a nerdy administrator Mr. Kimmer. During this time, they break down the social barriers and stereotypes that high school has "stamped" them with.—Andrew Waite
An early Saturday morning, students wander in the their high school library to make-up a Saturday state mandated test. They meet Norton Kimmer, a power-hungry nerdy administrator who hates kids. Last to arrive is teenage misfit Mitchell, playing by his own rules.
At the start of the test, Mitchell antagonizes Mr. Kimmer, revealing in a past history between the two. Mitchell then psychoanalyzes and turns on Tori, the haughty socialite, and Cody, a blockhead jock. He teases them about meeting on-line and falling in love. Then he turns on DeShawn, a smart homeboy. Mitchell exclaims that DeShawn and Tori are actually dating.
During the test, Mr. Kimmer leaves for various emergencies, giving Mitchell free roam of the library, and he creates havoc. During the midpoint of the test, all of the other students have their sections finished, leaving Mitchell, Tori, Cody, DeShawn, and Vanessa, a quiet Latina, in the library by themselves.
After lunch, Mitchell distracts Mr. Kimmer and the group of student leaves the library for a game of dare outside. Vanessa is almost captured by Mr. Kimmer, but is saved by Mitchell. Back in the library, Mr. Kimmer places Mitchell away from the group. One of Mitchells accomplices goes into Mr. Kimmers office and steals his wallet, then begins to find businesses in the phone book to use his credit cards on. When Mr. Kimmer returns, there are clowns, magicians, a DJ, masseuses, and a petting zoo.
The final bomb drops when a notified child protection agency woman arrives and questions Mr. Kimmer as to the pandemonium. As Mr. Kimmer is grilled, the five students begin to understand one-another through games of trivia, ten-fingers, and truth.
At the end, Mr. Kimmer comes out, defeated. Then, in a moment of clarity, both teacher and students understand each other and realize that no one really knows anyone, that the stereotypes they give each other, are merely just outward stamps.
