Summaries

A film about the priest known by the nickname "Saint Prevezis".

Pivoting around the controversial book of the Greek journalist, writer and actor, Spyros Karatzaferis, director and writer Makis Antonopoulos' theatre play portrays the scandalous life of dissolute and blasphemous Stylianos Kornaros, the sinful Bishop of Preveza. Peppered with personal views of spectators on the subject, interviews with parents whose children were lured or took refuge in monasteries, and comments on the journalistic research of Spyros Karatzaferis, prolific director Kostas Karagiannis' film never shies away from exposing the suspicious deals and the erotic vices of Stylianos Kornaros, a clergyman nicknamed O Agios Prevezis (1982).—Nick Riganas
