Filmmaker Scott Barker delves into the world of sign spinning and shows how passion, commitment, friendship and work can be synergistic in creating a successful life. Traveling across the United States from San Diego to Washington D.C., Las Vegas, Miami, Raleigh, Baltimore and Los Angeles, Barker discovered the dream of loving what you do, finding family and friends while making a living. Aarow Advertising was created by two young men who came from the surf and skateboard culture in San Diego CA. They have turned the art of Sign Spinning into a multi-million dollars business all the while taking many at risk youth and giving them the opportunity to turn their live around. Barker shows within the world a competitive sport has emerged combining the thrill of skateboarding, surfing and snowboarding. Sign Spinning combines strength, agility, hand eye coordination and talent which all come together at the national competition held in Miami Florida. Additionally, Barker delves into the social side of this company and the people who run it. Dedicated to giving back to the community, Aarow has made it a point to show young people that you can love what you do and turn your life around by making a living. Many of the sign spinners have gone from the streets going nowhere to owning their own franchises and becoming district managers.
