Brothers Ad and Am's lives are turned upside down when they release pregnant Hawa from the clutches of a baby trafficking ring where they work in.

Based in the metropolitan city of Kuala Lumpur, Songlap follows the story of two siblings - Am (Shaheizy Sam) and Ad (Syafie Naswip) who are involved in a baby sale syndicate run by a woman called Mama. The lives of these two siblings are quite different; Am took advantage of using Mama's business as a shortcut to earning money for his gambling activities, while Ad dreamed of a better life by joining a B-Boy dance competition. Ad began to realize that his dream might not be realized after losing his best friend Razak to a drugstore and seeing with his own eyes the fate of young girls being sold to human trafficking syndicates. When Razak's younger sister, Hawa (Sara Ali), who is pregnant with the syndicate, can no longer close her eyes to this situation and has to race to save Eve without realizing Eve's father, Pak Din is also looking for her lost son. However, Ad's good intentions to help Eve weakened her relationship with Am, and their struggle eventually reached the brink of death. In the face of temptation and betrayal, and being thwarted by violent thugs in the streets, who will win the battle over the lives of these two brothers?
