An overweight man meets a former classmate on their high school track. As the two grow close and inspire each other, their pasts creep back into their lives and begin to threaten all that they have developed.

Nathan is an overweight, cigar smoking mess trying to get his life back together. Stephanie is a single mom who is looking for stability and happiness. These two find each other at their old high school track and begin to form a bond. As their relationship grows the challenges from their pasts reemerge and prove to be more difficult than imagined. They must learn that to move forward sometimes one might have to take a step back, but we all still take life one lap at a time.
