When fourteen-year-old Jarvis Raines gets a chemistry set from his Aunt Marlene for Christmas, he assumes it's just another boring gift. Boy is he wrong! The contents create a chemical reaction that destroys his houseso much for a Merry Christmas! After getting not even an apology from the manufacturer, Knickknack Toys, Jarvis takes them to court, wins, and ends up owning the company!
Surrounded by doubters, including the former owner, a tough-as-nails businesswoman named Candace Wheeler, Jarvis decides to prove to the world that he can not only run the company, he can make it better than ever! Jarvis wants to once again make Knickknack Toys the beloved brand it once was and restore honour to the name of the company's founder, P. Everett Knickknack. (Even if that founder is a fictional cartoon character)
If Jarvis is going to succeed, he's going to have to invent some of the most exciting, fun, and creative toys in history. And he's is going to need a lot of help to pull it off. Running a toy company is going to take more than a fourteen-year-old kid. It's going to take six fourteen-year-old kids. Of course, putting together the right team won't be easy.
