A group of Sri Lankan youths is challenged by a team of British cricketers for a cricket match in the year 1947, when Sri Lanka was under the British rule. The Sri Lankans fail--miserably. Their captain, Jangu, wants a rematch in 3 months. The Brits accept this, cocky at the chance to crush the Sri Lankans once again. The Sri Lankans, with a mystic hermit's help, find themselves in the year 2011, inside the home of Dhanuka Wickramasinghe, a famous cricketer of the time. The story goes on as the young cricketers from the past learn modern techniques in cricket in order to beat the Brits.—Aditha Abeynayake
