In this thrilling mystery-horror film, a recently deceased elderly woman seems to have taken possession of the mind of her great niece, Mia. Upon Mia's arrival to the house of the deceased, some horrifying events take place that cause Mia to go insane and cut off all ties with the outside world. Weeks later, Mia's sister, Angela, is called upon to examine the house and it's surroundings. Accompanied by estate lawyer Robert Wallace, Angela arrives at her great aunt's house to find Mia, now a complete wreck with no knowledge of anything, or anyone, around her. After some investigating and speaking to some doctors, Angela and Robert determine Mia's current state as simply having lost her mind over the death of their great aunt. What they don't realize though is that the very house they're in holds many dark secrets. Meanwhile, local police detective Martin Calivan has been watching the house for weeks and now questions Robert as he believes Robert may have some ties to what is taking place inside the house. After numerous phone calls and run-ins with Robert, Calivan becomes convinced that Robert has some part in a conspiracy. Back inside the house, as more and more sinister events begin to take place within the house, Robert calls on his old friend Duncan, now a church youth pastor. Duncan is brought into the house to speak (or at least attempt) to Mia. After a series of meetings Duncan is at a loss as for an explanation for Mia's behavior. As the days pass, Duncan, Robert and Angela get no closer to discovering anything until a mysterious man arrives at the house one day. The man gives Angela an address which she shows to Robert. Robert, recognizing the address, travels with her there. Calivan follows them. What follows is Angela being plunged into a odyssey-like journey through the night. Her troubles worsen when she and Robert are separated, and she is now on her own. Back at the house, Duncan continues to try and communicate with Mia with little luck, until he begins searching the house himself. Calivan, hot on Angela's trail, eventually catches up to her just as the mystery has unfolded. In acts of bravery, Calivan must now risk his own life to help save Angela...and Duncan must put in life in danger to help save Mia. All of this leads to an unsettling end for all parties involved.
