Synopsis

Flamur, a young man from Kosovo, decides to leave his home and head to Germany for a better life, despite his father, Ahmet, being strongly against it. After a perilous journey through Serbia using illegal routes, Flamur is arrested in Subotica, where he comes face to face with a dark figure from the past-Serbian commander Petar. During the last war in Kosovo, Petar was one of the officers who tortured and mistreated Ahmet, Flamur's father.

However, Petar never managed to extract any information from Ahmet regarding the Albanian groups operating against the Serbian regime. When Petar realizes that Flamur is Ahmet's son, he seeks revenge by psychologically tormenting him, blackmailing him, and demanding money for his release.

Desperate and enraged, Flamur manages to escape by wounding Petar, and returns to Kosovo. But his homecoming is far from easy. Flamur has put his family in deep debt, forcing them to live under harsh economic conditions.

Meanwhile, his brother Jeton, who is involved in crime, tries to secure money for Flamur during the time he was a prisoner in Serbia. The situation worsens when Flamur's sister dies while he is in Subotica. Her husband, Ardian, secretly attempts to cause an abortion without her knowledge, but the procedure goes wrong, and she dies. Ardian tries to hide the truth about this tragic event, creating an explosive and painful chain of events in Flamur's life and his family's.

This dramatic series explores the consequences of war, the sacrifices of individuals, the fight for survival, and the complicated ties between the past and the present.
