Young Irish-American New York City police officer Patrick Michael Casey breaks up a dope ring by posing as the blind Jewish shoemaker who is the father of his sweetheart. Casey also saves his younger brother, who has been implicated in the gang, from prison. Casey is aided by members of his Jewish-Irish neighborhood, including a priest and a rabbi.
