A serial killer is active and on a killing spree. After committing 7 murders the police start to take him seriously. The pattern is identical throughout. The killing is on 7th of the month, the victims are female, drunk and they have ink on their face after the murder, which signifies that the girls who take alcohol are "Kalank" to the society. Police appoints detective Abhijit (Chinmay Mishra) to solve the mystery, which he does successfully. The criminal is convicted and behind the bars. The arrogant detective so how doesn't get more jobs due to his carelessness and becomes a drug addict. 5 years later, while the convicted is in the prison, another murder is reported in the same pattern. The victim is drunk, popular journalist Arundhati Mohapatra (Jeena Samal), the date is 7th of the month and there's ink on her face. Without any further delay, the police appoint the same detective again as the case is a high profile one and there is an enormous amount of pressure on the police.
