Kama village is overrun by the North Korean army during the Korean war and the villagers are forced to surrender. Man-bok, the village idiot, adopts the ways of his conquerors with glee, but begins to have a change of heart when he sees a young boy butchered and hears a girl tell how her parents were killed.—Anonymous
