Out of an old bond, the artist Jarek takes nine-year-old Lilia, daughter of his ex-girlfriend Alina, to violin lessons. Jarek gets to know the family of the violin teacher Clara and her husband Bertschi and their sons. Jarek increasingly enjoys the family touchpoints. Out of professional pride he remains reserved towards Bertschi, who of all things is a respected art connoisseur. But Jarek feels attracted to Clara without being able to admit it to her. When Lilia gets the chance to switch to another teacher as a master student, contact with Clara breaks off abruptly. Until Jarek and Clara meet again by chance a few months later.—ARD Das Erste
