A homicide detective working his latest case finds that his investigation leads him into the world of the supernatural.
When a homicide detective investigates a series of strange murders where the victims are drained of all body fluids, his investigation leads him to discover the killer is a succubus. He must now race against time to stop her before she claims more victims.
Miles Sherman is having a dream about the night he and his wife Alexandra have a discussion about life after death and decide to try to have a baby. Miles is woken up by a ringing telephone. We then cut to a soccer field late at night, where a dead body had been found.
Back in the present day, Miles is now in his 40s and investigating a strange murder of a male victim that is found with a disturbing grin on his face.
A few days later, there is another victim - a young athlete named Brock, whose body is found outside a club. Miles is frustrated by lack of leads in the case and declining mental state over his wife's death years prior. His friend Mike visits Miles and convinces him to pull himself together to solve the case.
Miles starts receiving anonymous notes with an address. Looking to advance the investigation, Miles takes a young officer named Sam with him to an underground club, hoping to catch the killer in the act. However, the killer seduces Sam and kills him in the alley behind the club. A devastated Miles sees the killer and confronts her, seeing that she is really a succubus. After a brief struggle, she escapes into the darkness.
At this point, Miles decides to follow up on the strange notes he's been getting with only an address written on them. He goes to the address and finds Luke Dyson, an occult expert who tells Miles he's hunting a demon - specifically, a succubus. Luke explains that succubi are vicious female demons who feed on men's life force through sexual acts or through seduction. He gives Miles a book with instructions for summoning the demon and a spell to recite.
Desperate to stop the demon from claiming any more victims, Miles takes evidence from the crime lab to compare it with occult materials needed to summon the demon. He performs a ritual to summon the succubus based on Luke's instructions. She appears and attacks him. After a violent fight, Miles is finally able to kill the demon with an iron bar.
In the aftermath, a beaten and exhausted Miles visits his wife and son's graves. Though the case is solved surreptitiously, Miles feels he can't share the details with anyone as he feels no one would believe him. He returns home to try and regain a sense of normalcy in his life. The story ends with him sleeping, dreaming of his wedding day to Alexandra.
