A high powered, female publisher who becomes responsible for her young grandson when her daughter becomes involved with drugs.

Prominent book publisher Vivian Levinson Goldstein (Carol Burnett) and her husband, Ezra (George Segal), have their lives turned upside down when Vivian's runaway grandson, David, unexpectedly arrives at their home.
