This is a film about the relationship between the nineteenth century naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace and his Indonesian assistant and their adventures together in SE Asia. It documents my attempts to make the film - retracing their journey through the jungle - with an 83 year old Earl who is absolutely fanatical about Wallace and a motley crew of Indonesian am-dram actors.
