On their 16th anniversary, a married couple's trip to a Beverly Hills mall becomes the stage for personal revelations and deceptions.

During a shopping stroll on their 16th anniversary, lawyer Nick Fifer confesses a few affairs to his wife Deborah, and she goes wild and insists on a divorce. After they agree to the dividing up of their belongings, Deborah confesses that she too has had an affair. In Los Angeles, upper-class lawyer Nick and psychologist Deborah are married with children and successful in their professions. On the day of their 16th wedding anniversary, their children travel with their friends and Nick and Deborah go to a mall in Beverly Hills to bring Japanese food to have dinner at home with some friends and exchange gifts.
