When Naagkumari Sulochana refuses to marry Indradev, Naagraj curses her and she ends up marrying Ravanputra Meghnath.

A devotee of Bhagwan Shri Vishnu, Naagkumari Sulochana, the daughter of Naagraj, is approached by Indradev, who wants to wed her. She not only rejects but also humiliates him. He complaints to her father who asks her to change her mind, and when she refuses, he not only curses that she will marry a Dhanav (Demon) but also banishes her from Naag Lok. Shortly thereafter Indradev will himself flee when Ravanputra Meghnath, who has been blessed by Brahmadev, will not only defeat him but also capture and hold him captive at his father's palace in Lanka - along with all Devas representing the Nav Grahas. Meghnath and Sulochana will then get married and return home where they will be well received by Ravanji and his wife, Devi Mandodari. It is here that Sulochana will find that she will not be permitted to worship Vishnuji, while her husband will defeat Yamraj and hold him captive also. Ravanji's sister, Surpankha, will instigate him to avenge her humiliation at the hands of Lakshmanji, leading to Sitaji's abduction from Panchavati and being held captive in Ashok Vatica. Fearing for her husband's safety, a devoted Sulochana, will first make Vishnu-Avtar Ramji promise not to battle her husband, and then compel Him to prevent Lakshman, who is none other than her reincarnated father, from killing Meghnath.—rAjOo ([email protected])
