The notorious bandit Veerappan defies authorities in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka for over a decade through poaching, smuggling and kidnapping. Law enforcement struggles to capture the elusive outlaw as he evades apprehension.

Sandhana Kaadu is a Tamil television serial that was aired on Makkal TV. The serial was under the direction of V. Gauthaman and director Tamilkumaran. It is produced by a popular film producer, Thanu. Actor, Karate Raja played the main lead role in the serial. Sandhana Kaadu was supposedly be aired in 2007 but due to the appeal of Muthulakshmi, it started airing on July 26, 2008. In spite of all the controversies, the serial became very popular especially in South India. There are even some rumors that after the serial ended, Muthulakshmi was not satisfied with the serial and she will make a film about the life of Veerapan under the direction of Ram Gopal Varma.
