After more than 50 years of marriage, a loving husband refuses to believe that his wife has died.

On her death-bed, Grandma expresses her final wishes: for her grandson, Vulcan, to graduate from school and for her family to continue their legacy of love and tradition. Grandma dies peacefully, but her husband of more than 50 years storms out of the hospital, refusing to believe that his wife is gone. Over the next year, the family tries to help him accept his loss, but he refuses to accept that he is now alone. Finally, he realizes that even in death, love continues and that he will never be alone as long as he has his family and the beautiful memories of his wife. At long last, Grandpa allows his beloved to rest.
