Two underachieving sons of a legendary football coach head to a remote island in Greece to coach the Salty Amazons, a struggling women's football team stuck for decades in a chaotic corrupt league - "The Prison League."

In 2008, amidst unprecedented corruption in the Greek Women's Football League, 14 teams were removed and placed into the newly formed Rehabilitation League. The Salty Amazons, a once revered team from the remote island of Hippolyta, have been consistently the worst team in this "Prison League". The wild Hippolytan fans, fed up with management throwing games and accepting bribes, have now selected a new president who was committed to changing their course. This year, unbelievably, they are one win away from making it to the playoffs. In a moment of desperation after the Amazon's head coach is sidelined by a heart attack, the team hires Aris and Manolis Kakkavias, two confused, clownish sons of a legendary football coach. With the pressure on from the Prison League brass to throw the game or else, and the fans demanding that the team fight with traditional Hippolytan Spirit, do these two have the integrity to fight against corruption and play to win.
