Joy, a thief, falls in love with Anjali and becomes a changed man.

Innocent, impoverished girl Anjali (Rachana Banerjee) lives with her father Binoy Roychowdhury (Bodhisattya Majumder) and her stepmother Madhobi (Sanghomitra Banerjee). Joy (Prosenjit), a thief, steals a gold statue of a god with his assistant Bhoja (Subhasish Mukherjee) and they take shelter at Anjali's house; Joy stays there three days and falls in love with her. He comes to know about her past life from her diary. Madhobi thinks Anjali is a thief and threw her out of their home. Joy helps Anjali become a singer. One day Madhobi realizes her fault and goes to meet Anjali. Joy convinces Anjali's whole family to stay with her. Another guy, Sandip (Abhishek Chatterjee) likes Anjali and her family arranges for them to marry. Madhobi throws Joy out of the house for being a thief and Anjali tries to find him. During a function Anjali tells her whole life story to the audience and proposes to Joy, who accepts.—Swarup Basak
