Documentary mini-serial about legends in South West Germany.

The famous Nordic Nibelung legend tells the story of the hero Siegfried who gets murdered by Hagen of Tronje. Queen Brünhild charged him with the murder. Queen Krimhild, Siegfried's wife and Brünhild's sister in law swears bloody vengeance. This is followed by a multi-year war, in which many heroes leave their lives.
