In the small fishing village Fjordby, in a modest cottage, the three old fishermen Ole, Jens and Peter lives.

Three simple fisherman brothers enjoy life. They get help from the young girl Sus, who manages the house and helps on the fishing cutter. When the brothers get a good offer to borrow money for the Hotel, they immediately jump on the bandwagon. However, there is the shady contractor Gravenkop they borrow the money from.
