The death of a loved one leads a young woman on a quest for a deeper understanding of the supernatural.
In Sa Piling Ng Aswang Marya plays a successful career woman with a very busy schedule. The demands of her life leave her with very little time to spend with her young brother Cogie. When her brother dies a mysterious death on a mountain hiking trip, Maryas is wracked with guilt and grief.
She is left with many doubts as to how her brother died. This motivates her to return to the scene of his accident to try to get some answers. While there she meets up with the people responsible for Cogie's death and discovers their link to the netherworld. To her surprise, she finds herself intrigued by knowledge about the supernatural. This curiosity causes her to begin learning the truth about the dreaded aswang.
