Denis Ryan, Dermot O'Reilly and Fergus O'Byrne comprised the Irish string band, Ryan's Fancy. For years they played and recorded with Tommy Makem and were often seen on a syndicated series produced in Hamilton's CHCH-TV studios. This program was much more adventurous. It was geared to the music history of the Atlantic Canada, something in which Ryan's Fancy was especially interested.
