Our heroes' worst fears have finally been realized: Salem is here, and the timing couldn't be worse for the divided Kingdom of Atlas. The heroes' party faces its worst fear in Salem's arrival, and at a time when the Kingdom of Atlas is at its most divided, the party's situation couldn't get any worse. Once-friends are now rendered enemies by the frights and concerns that haunt them, and what remains of Atlas's other allies isn't faring much better under the pressure. Pincered by both Salem and Ironwood on either side, and Remnant's continued existence hanging overhead like a Damocles' sword, Team RWBY must take decisive action in the face of insurmountable odds--before all they hold dear comes tumbling down and is swallowed up into oblivion. This is where they steel themselves and make their final stand, casting their lot to the whims of the gods of fate.
