The program traces the Rise and Fall of the Third Reich through the decaying ruins of it's monuments, structures and buildings.

Part 1, "Rise to Power" explores the Munich beerhalls where Hitler developed his oratory skills, the Felderrnhalle site of the failed 1923 putsch, Hotel Hanselbauer location of the bloody purge known as the "Night of the long Knives", Opernplatz site of the infamous burning of the books, Paul von Hindenburg's Neudeck estate, the Tanneberg national memorial and a complete tour of Hitler's mountain top compound at Berchtesgaden.—Anonymous
