When crime reporter Ruby Herring receives clues to a murder that happened five years earlier involving a local psychic, she joins forces with Detective Jake Killian to help crack the case.

Retired research journalist John Herring coaches his daughter Ruby, who seeks a similar position at a Seattle TV station, rivaling well-connected Travis Tru for promotion to a vacancy. Luckily hunky Seattle PD detective Jake Killian likes collaborating with Ruby, as the gun is found that was used five years ago to murder a 'pyschic' fortuneteller but also links into a criminal context.
