After a couple are killed, the Chief Commissioner assigns this investigation to Poona-based Inspector R.K. Mathur, who lives with his wife, Sharda, and son, Shankar. Subsequently he arrests Sangha, and despite of his family's abduction by Sangha's brother, Jagawar, ensures that the former gets a life sentence in prison. As an infant Shankar Mathur watch helplessly as his mother die a painful death for a morsel of food. He then swears to provide for the poor and needy thus with this projection years later he starts an orphanage one by one adopting orphan children who have no source of obtaining food. He provides for these children by pocketing the goods of a gangster named J.K. This makes Shankar and J.K. enemies who outrageously challenge each other on numerous occasions.
