Rocket Boy is a coming-of-age drama based on real-life events from the childhood of screenwriter/director Roger Tully. Set in the 60's, during the heat of the Space Race, it tells the story of William Talley, a 12-year old, astronaut-crazy boy, living on Long Island, who thinks his dreams come true when his family is transferred to Houston for the Apollo program. But along with realizing those dreams there are nightmares he encounters, and must overcome, in order to move on with his life.—Roger Tully
