Teenagers Sami and Jana Hilbig (17) meet in hospital, as potential candidates for novel surgery to cure a rare respiratory illness which tragically shortens their life expectancy. Gentle Samy hopes for the surgery while avoiding risks, Jana decides to seize the day while she can, craving kicks and waving risks. Walking away from Samy, who gave her a ride, she stumbles upon the ailing stud farm of old Paul Brenner, they discover her rare gift as horse whisperer. He will train her to ride his notoriously headstrong prize stallion, in time for an upcoming competition for 100,000 Euros, his last hope to avoid foreclosure due to debts.
