A veteran returns home after serving his country in Iraq after 911. While he was away his then girlfriend finds out that she is pregnant with their child. She gives him up adoption knowing she can't provide a good life for the child. After returning home the father gets custody of his son, they leave Savannah and head to Columbus, Georgia to live. After 13 years of raising his son on his own, he finds out that he has terminal cancer. He must make a life changing decision, either give up his son for adoption or find his biological mother and let her finish raising him.
