A veteran of the War on Iraq, James Adams, who decides to track down the mother of his son after he's diagnosed with cancer. Fifteen years as a single father has left his life with little fulfillment other than his troublesome son, Bobby. When he discovers his old flame is still living in Savannah, GA he finds her and reconnects, giving his son a chance to have a mother. When James and Bobby relocate to Savannah, Bobby runs into more trouble than he's ever faced before. It's not just run-of-the-mill school bullies anymore. A veteran returns home after serving his country in Iraq after 911. While he was away his then girlfriend finds out that she is pregnant with their child. She gives him up adoption knowing she can't provide a good life for the child. After returning home the father gets custody of his son, they leave Savannah and head to Columbus, Georgia to live. After 13 years of raising his son on his own, he finds out that he has terminal cancer. He must make a life changing decision, either give up his son for adoption or find his biological mother and let her finish raising him.
