The annual film awards of the Danish Film Academy, presented for the first time on TV.
For the first time on TV, the Danish Film Academy presented its annual awards to Danish and international filmmakers, with Drømmen (2006) and _Soap, En (2006)_ as major winners. Hosted by comedians Martin Buch and Rasmus Botoft in character as Dusk and Bomholt, respectively, the broadcast from the television studios at DR Byen also featured a performance by singer Dario Campeotto. Broadcast a few hours after the event, the special was edited to fit a 90-minute time slot.—Peter Brandt Nielsen
