A social melodrama in which a very poor student, who studies at the University with countless privations, faces a number of problems.
Faced with extreme poverty, an impecunious but proud university student finds himself up against a plethora of intractable economic, familial, moral, and social problems. As he tries to stay afloat, he becomes entangled in the schemes of a fashionable woman, who is a nightclub regular, only to realise that his sister, too, is on the road of no return, working as a singer at a seedy cabaret.
